At around 1979 psoriasis was a rare disease and most patients affected used to be in 3rd to 4th decade of their life. No medicine was available and the disease was incurable and life-long. Coal tar was the only known treatment without any satisfactory results.
Current trend in psoriasis is more disheartening. It is more common in young generation of 15-25 years age. Earlier the disease, more the complications, productive life is hampered due to disfigurement & disability. Recently, psoriasis is becoming more & more obstinate and difficult to cure by conventional treatment. Previously psoriasis was predominantly a Psoric disorder, now it is more complex, multi-miasmatic, obstinate, and difficult to cure.
Dr. Sonavane is treating Psoriasis exclusively for the past 34 years and till date treated more than 24600+ cases. His approach to the case of psoriasis includes acute remedy for acute exacerbation of chronic disease and constitutional remedy for chronic stable lesions.
There are so many reasons why Dr. Sonavane decided to practice as psoriasis specialist. I think this webinar was not prepared for the homeopath to learn from his long experience of research and practice because there was hardly any details in his usual prescription remedies and cases presented. To me it was basically a presentation for general patients or non-homeopaths with pictures and testimonies of how homeopathy worked in their cases but not for the participant homeopaths how were eagerly waiting for at least few detailed cases with emphasis to selected remedies having key determining factors i.e patient specific PQRS that contributed to the ultimate cure. I really was expecting something outstanding!
